The scene abruptly changes. Thousands of people are pouring into subway stations, hundreds of cars are crowding the streets and highways. Soon offices and other places of opportunity are filled with businessmen and women. They are intent on getting ahead in their chosen career or just putting in time for a few more hours in order to get a paycheck In the former scenes some of the sport-enthusiasts glimpsed the Man with the nail-scarred hands occasionally when they gazed at nature, but here, in this fast paced stress-induced environment, His face has grown very faint indeed.
Another group swarmed across the stage, and it was easy to see by their stance and apparel, that the twin gods Popularity and Fashion, had far more appeal than the Man on His knees.
Even while I searched faces to see if anyone was aware of Him, the screen changed and multitudes were pouring over their television sets, video games and uh, yes computers. Hardly was there a household where someone wasn't worshipping at one of their favourite shrines.I turned sadly to the Man with the Nail- Scarred hands and said. ‘Does no one notice you, my Lord?’
