He looks like a pleasant sort of businessman. Very accomplished. I see him passing by with his softly curling silvery gray beard and hair. On closer inspection one sees that he isn't all that old; maybe somewhere in his early forties, I suppose. So why is there a wake of pain behind him? Why are there angry words and comments from those who have clashed with him? He’s a Christian brother, is he not? He’s trying to do what’s right, but why that littered trail?
Someone knows, and His heart goes out in sympathy. Someone knows of the abuse he witnessed and possibly suffered in his growing up years. He appears so successful now, but that is only a cover up. Someone knows, and cares, and understands. Someone wants to reach out and touch that stressed out, burdened heart and heal it again and again. Bob, part of your healing must come from humbling yourself and confessing to those around you. You know you have hurt them. It wouldn't belittle you in their eyes if you just admit it. We are all humans together. Just let down your amour and admit how you have failed. We need our brothers to help us grow…and heal.
